Bonhams is presenting a curated selection of collector vehicles in its upcoming sale, After Hours: Cars, Wristwatches and Fashion at Bruun Rasmussen, which is scheduled to close on 27 October 2026. The auction brings together a diverse array of classic sports cars, restomod prototypes, and elegant post-war convertibles. The catalog is anchored by highly recognizable designs from British and German marques, appealing to collectors who value both historical significance and distinct mechanical character.
Leading the automotive offerings is a 1938 Jaguar SS100 2.5 Roadster. This historic classic is one of only 198 examples ever built, with an estimated 120 to 140 believed to still exist today. The model was instrumental in establishing Jaguar among the premier sports car manufacturers of the pre-war era, featuring a long bonnet and low-slung profile that remains instantly recognizable. It is accompanied in the sale by a 2005 Porsche Paul Stephens Lightweight PS 300 R Prototype, which represents the first customer-sold car from the prominent British restomod specialist. This prototype combines design and mechanical elements from three legendary RS models: the 1973 Carrera RS, the 964 RS, and the 993 RS. Another notable German classic in the lineup is a 1959 Mercedes-Benz SL 190 W12, delivered new by the official Danish importer and previously held in the car collection of Godtfred Kirk Christiansen.
