Bonhams is preparing to conclude its online sale of Exceptional Cuvées from a Distinguished Private Collector, scheduled to end 20 October 2026. The auction brings together a highly curated selection of fine wines, showcasing some of the most celebrated producers from Burgundy, Tuscany, and Champagne. Among the notable offerings is a twelve-bottle lot of Gianfranco Soldera, Sangiovese Toscana IGT, 2018, representing the legendary Case Basse estate in Tuscany. This lot, packaged in four original cartons, highlights the late Soldera’s uncompromising approach to natural winemaking and the pure expression of the Sangiovese grape. From Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, a six-bottle lot of Jean-Pierre Mathieu/Roumier, Charmes-Chambertin Aux Mazoyères, 2017, presented in its original carton, offers collectors a rare opportunity to acquire a collaborative bottling from one of the region's most revered winemaking dynasties.
The sale also features a double magnum of Domaine Armand Rousseau Père & Fils, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos St Jacques, 2019. This three-litre bottle, housed in its original wooden case, presents a classic expression of one of Gevrey-Chambertin's most famous premier cru vineyards, despite a cracked wax capsule with slight signs of old seepage. White Burgundy is represented by a twelve-bottle lot of Domaine Ramonet, Corton-Charlemagne, 2022, packaged in its original carton, which showcases the mineral-driven intensity of this iconic grand cru hill in the Côte de Beaune.
In addition to these leading lots, the auction includes other highly desirable bottles such as Alain Hudelot-Noëllat, Richebourg, 2018, in three magnum bottles, Masseto, 2006, in six bottles, and Château Margaux, 2015, in six bottles. Champagne enthusiasts will also find a significant offering of Taittinger, Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs, 2008, in twenty-four bottles. Each of these lots represents a benchmark style from their respective regions, appealing to collectors who value pristine provenance and exceptional vintages.
