Bonhams has listed its Distillery Icons: A Legacy of Excellence auction on its official calendar[1], scheduled to end on 21 October 2026. The online-only sale features a highly curated selection of rare single malts, led by a substantial parcel of privately owned Campbeltown whisky. The top lot is a parcel of 204 bottles of Springbank Cask #125 Refill Bourbon Hogshead 31 Years Old, 1994 (204 x 70cl), which carries an estimate of £90,000 to £120,000[2][2]. Distilled in November 1994 and bottled in November 2025 by J. & A. Mitchell & Co Ltd, this private single cask yielded a total of 265 bottles, with the auction offering a major portion of the run already bottled and duty paid.
Beyond the Campbeltown parcel, the sale features several highly aged Speyside and Island expressions. Among these are multiple releases from the Glenfarclas Pagoda Series, housed in custom Glencairn Crystal decanters. A 1.5-litre decanter of the Glenfarclas Pagoda Sapphire Reserve Silver 63 Year Old, 1953, drawn from single cask No. 1677, is estimated at £14,000[7][6] to £20,000[4][4][3][3]. It is joined by a Glenfarclas Pagoda Ruby Reserve Gold 62 Year Old, 1954 (1x 1.5 Litres), drawn from sherry cask No. 445, which also carries an estimate of £14,000 to £20,000. From the Orkney Islands, a Highland Park 56 Year Old (1x 70cl) is offered with an estimate of £20,000 to £30,000[5][5], presented in a textured glass decanter designed to evoke the wild rainwater of Orkney.
