The upcoming sale of the last fifth-generation Supra at Barrett-Jackson in January 2027,[1] follows a historical precedent set when the very first production model of the series was auctioned in 2019[2] for a record sum of $2.1 million[2]. According to Motor1, that initial sale also benefited charity, establishing a pattern of bookending the vehicle's production run with high-profile charity events.[1] The final vehicle, which represents the conclusion of North American production that ended in March 2026[1], will cross the block with no reserve and all proceeds directed to disaster relief.
The vehicle in question is a unique build of the Final Edition variant, featuring a bespoke commemorative serial number, matte Phantom Gray paint with red accents, and the signature of Toyota's former chief executive, Akio Toyoda, under his racing alias. Robb Report reported that the car was donated directly by Toyota's North American division to Reach Out Worldwide, a disaster relief charity.[2] The vehicle also comes equipped with a factory aerodynamic package, including a duckbill rear spoiler and front wheel arch flaps. While these unique specifications and the association with the late actor Paul Walker's charity will drive aggressive bidding, the final hammer price will reflect the philanthropic motivations of ultra-high-net-worth buyers rather than the underlying market value of a standard fifth-generation Supra.
